History

CLHAC is a group of grassroots and public
organizations that gathered in 1998 with
one common dream in mind-to consolidate
the effort to educate families, child care
providers, home owners and landlords
about lead hazards and resources. We
perceived a need to have a central
clearinghouse for all the information and
activities taking place in the region. We
realized we could confront the many issues
of lead more effectively with one unified
voice.

Mission Statement

To promote healthy homes in Connecticut
through the coordination of effective
solutions for lead poisoning prevention.

Objective

Identify problems and provide solutions by
developing appropriate strategies to deal
