Invades the Anipax Union |
|
Alpha Prime
Early this morning, the Tirani world of Marikoba in the Maribus
System was successfully invaded by the Dominion Fleet. There are
no known casualties at this time, and the Tiranus Naval Forces had
little time to response.
Marikoba's only line of defense was its
automated Orbital Defense Network, which was swiftly shattered.
Despite this being a bloodless assault, it has left the Anipax Union
as a whole, largely
unsettled and some considering this an act of war.
For the reasons behind the invasion of Marikoba,
the SIP was granted permission to interview the leader of the Dominion,
Lord Jahaxia'kan, who met with our reporter, Elara D'gren, at the
Marikoba branch of
the Tiranus Science Academy.
----------
The Jahaxia'kan-Elara Interview, a SIP Exclusive.
---------
Elara - Good Morning, Lord Jahaxia'kan. As I am sure you are aware,
we have many questions, especially concerning the reasons for this
action taken by your nation against the Union.
Jax - And hopefully you'll get to the point,
and ask them.
Elara - Very Well. After the disappearance
of the Chancellor, Kirstyn Issac, your fleet cut off all lines of
communication and prepared for invasion. Why didn't you answer the
hails of the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs, and go ahead with this action?
Jax - The Chancellor was the connecting link
in the entire Union. She was the epicenter of order. You remove
her...and all you have is petty bickering and ancient rivals. No
order. I answer a question from
one Foreign Minister, and I'll have to turn right around and answer
the samequestion a hundred more times. As for the Dominion Fleet's
actions...it is a warning. If the Anipax Union continues on this
disastrous
course of action, there will be consequences. Without Chancellor
Isaac, there is no safe guard against it. It is my hope that the
Dominion can keep things in order, in whatever way we can, while
Chancellor Isaac is
missing.
Elara - To put it simple than, you have no
faith in the ability of the Seven Nations to conduct themselves
according. Without the stabilizing force of Chancellor Issac at
the helm, the members of the Anipax
will fall back into disorder and chaos, something the Dominion can
not stand by and allow to happen, correct? As for this warning,
does the Dominion intend on pulling out of the Maribus system once
you believe your 'point' has been made?
Jax - One question at a time...order, madam.
Yes, that is correct.
My point will be made, whether that's with
Maribus or burning every Anipax Union planet to the ground. Whether
the Seven Nations respond accordingly to my point will determine
how quickly the Dominion
will cease these regretted aggressions.
Elara - I... see. You are fully aware of
the fact that parties within the Union consider this an act of war,
but as of yet are being subdued by the central government. There
is also a fleet base of the Cimothian Star Empire within this very
system, at the mouth of the Tiranus-Cimothian stargate. Are you
expecting any possible retalliation of their part because you have
attacked a Tirani world?
Jax - No, we are not. However, if the Cimothian's
so wish to intrude upon the matter, then we will welcome them in
true Dominion fashion.
Elara - As I assume the response will be
the same to any of the autonomous powers within the Union, such
as the Silgolth Order or Tea'Gryn, should they decide to step in?
Jax - Yes.
Elara - I see. Well, thank you for your time
Lord Kahn, and on behalf of the members of the Tower Project, thanks
for allowing them to continue their studies and excavations. Before
we end this
interview, is there anything you would like to add?
Jax - Yes. Chancellor Isaac is alive, my
telepathic corps has solidified that. We just now have to find her.
Elara - We.. all await for safe return Lord
Kahn. Thank you for your time.
End of the Interview.
---------------
The revelation that Chancellor Issac was still alive, and that the
Dominion knew this without letting the Central Government know until
now, has both humiliated and enraged the agents of the agencies
involved in the investigation and search for the missing Chancellor.
However, the Anipax as a whole is relieved that the news that the
Chancellor is still alive.
As for the citizens of Tiranus, the President
urges them not to do anything rash, as the Kyphan idealogy of "You
kick us, and we'll rip, your leg off", is beginning to be cried
among the younger generation of the Tirani Kypha in particular,
especially the Macai-Kypha of Tiranus the Colony Moons.
At this time, the Anipax Central Fleet is
at Condition Yellow, with each fleet of the Seven Nations at the
same alert status. The militaries of the Silgolth Order and Independent
Traders' Guild however, have
made no apparent effort to rise to the defense of the Anipax should
the need arise.
For now, the Central Government urges the
populous to remain calm, and not give in to any rash action towards
the Dominion occupation of Marikoba.
Reaction from the Cimothians who have a fleet
base in the Maribus system at the Tiranus-Cimothian Stargate, has
not yet been issued. Reports indicate however, that the Union is
asking the same of the CSE
forces that it has of its citizens concerning this matter.
