Alpha Prime — In a move that caught most in the Anipax military establishment by surprise, the Cimothian Star Empire suddenly announced the recall of all it's forces currently in Anipax space.

This includes turning over the joint Kyph/Cyth base in the Maribus System to the Kyphian government entirely, and the departure of the peace-keeping force on the Kyphian homeworld. This move comes nearly a week after the CSE diverted two Frigate-class vessles to the base and pledged to help defend the Kyph from Dominion aggression. Since then the Dominion has withdrawn their forces and returned all their conquered holdings to the Anipax.

While Element Commander Nori wasn't available for comment, and her office refused to elaborate on the
situation, Federation sensor posts have shown a steady decline of military pressance in the sector since the
signing of the current Cyth/Fed treaty nearly 8 months ago. The recall order seems to have been prompted by the departure of the last Cythian carrier in the sector, an escort-class vessle that was recently seen
transfering part of it's fighter loadout before entering the Olsea Alpha 532 Space-Time Conduit Focal
Anchor, in all likelyhood returning to the Cimothian Imperial Core systems.
