Federation Fleet Engages Breen

Epsilon Prime — At approximately 12am a few days ago, a small fleet of Federation ships entered the Herricross System, and uninhabited 3 planet system full of gas giants. The Fleet included USS Coral Sea, USS ARKHAMMER, USS Crown Victoria, and USS Cygnus.

The Fleet encounted three Breen ships upon arrival in the system. The Coral Sea exchanged fire with one ship, as the rest of the Fleet dealt with the others. The Coral Sea entered the star's corona, only to be attacked by a seemingly suicidal Breen. The Coral Sea recieved massive damge, but got off 4 trilithium warheads. Three of the torpedoes were destroyed, but the fourth one hit home, causing an implosion within the star. A shockwave followed, and a Breen ship knocked out the Coral Sea's quadracore assemble as she was moving away from the shockwave.

The Breen and Starfleet ships scattered, while the USS El Dorado tried to assist the Coral Sea. The El Dorado was ordered out of the system to regroup.

The Coral Sea repaired one warp core, and made a blind jump at max warp just as the wave hit. Apparently it hit the Arkhammer on the way out, and it sheered off one of the Coral Sea's nacelles. The Coral Sea arrived in the Omicron Theta system, severly damged, a huge hole in its starboard side from a Breen mine.

Elements of the Fleet towed the Coral Sea back to Starbase 74 for repairs.

32 injured on Coral Sea, 58 dead.

Starfleet is calling this a victory as it helped to stop another attack by the Breen on Federation space. This could be a turning point in the Federation-Breen War as Starfleet seems to finally be able to emerge victorious.
