Shadow Alliance Issues New Directive
Commodore Jason Blackhaven, Executive officer of the Shadow Alliance, has issued a fleet wide directive asking all to refrain from blaming the Shadow Alliance for the mistaken identity capture of the Federation vessel Indiana. Commodore Blackhaven had this to say, "Until a clear culprit is clearly identified in the Shadow Alliance thefts. Please refrain form laying blame. Refer to the thieves as “Unidentified at this time”. This is to avoid further possible complications with other galactic powers, who may not be to blame and will ease political tensions."

Neo Sapiens Release New Map
The Neo Sapien Ministry of Stellar Cosmography released the latest edition of the official map of the Neo Sapien Order. Changes to the map include a new look and updates to reflect new political status. A copy of the map can be found here.

Omicron Union Makes Contact with UPA
The Omicron Union has made official first contact with the United Psionic Alliance. Star Marshal Jacob Dietz of the OU met with Patriarch Taran Noxaj to begin treaty talks, which are currently in progress.
Star Marshal Dietz stopped to talk with reporters briefly after taking a break from negotiations, "The Omicron Union is pleased to open formal diplomatic relations with the UPA, and look foreward to peaceful coexistance..".

Starfleet Arrests Potential Defectors
Starfleet security today placed Commodore Jason Ryans and Captain Joseph Travis under house arrest as an investigation is underway after Commodore Ryans announced he and a group of Federation officers were planning to defect to the Omicron Union. Both officers have been relieved of duty and await further notice. Despite the fact the officers have done nothing illegal as of yet, Starfleet has arrested them for unknown reasons.
