Alpha Prime — Four different nations have taken steps to align themselves with the Cimothian Star Empire against the Federation.

The Omicron Union, a normally neutral state, took sides with the Cyth and declared an embargo against the Federation. In addition, they pledged to keep the OU from establishing further diplomatic or trade relations with the UFP. What follows is a transcript of the message

*a wide band subspace transmission, originating from within Omicron space, began broadcasting, the emblem of the Union appearing on the screen for a few moments before being replaced with the image of the Star Marshal, seated at his desk on Starbase Freedom*
"Good evening. I am Star Marshal Jacob Dietz, Commander and Cheif of the Omicron Union. Recently, several nations have taken up an embargo upon the United Federation of Planets. I wish to state the Union's official stance on this situation as clearly as possible. The Union has never had, and will continue not to have diplomatic or trading relations with the UFP. We are in full support of the Cimothian Star Empire and other nations in their embargo"
*he paused, pushing a PADD carefully to the edge of his desk, a very calm a neutral look on his face*
"Further, the Omicron Union would like to state that we fully recognize the Cimothian Star Empire as a nation, not a rogue band of pirates. We would hope other nations take the same stance.. Good day"
*the scene faded, replaced for a few moments with the Omicron Union emblem before fading to black, normal transmissions resuming*

Moments earlier, Admiral Shakaar of the Bajoran Federation also declared his nation's support of the Cimothians in an embargo against the Federation. Moreover, Bajoran forces have begun laying mines along the Federation border, according to a few uncofirmed reports. What follows is a transcript of Admiral Shakaar's speech:

*Office of the First Minister begins broadcast*
*First Minister Shakaar takes the podium* Citizens and officers... I come to you today to declare our solidarity to a boycot of the United Federation of Planets. We have not had trade or diplomatic ties with their government since the Excalibur Incident many years ago, so this is no effective change in our policy, but with recent problems between the Federation and its other neighbors, has signaled to us that the Federation has not changed its ways. A formal declaration of non-communication and trade is hereby proclaimated as of this day forward. The Federation border shall remain closed until further notice. Citizens of the Bajoran Federation, or Federation citizens of Bajoran heritage are still permitted in our space, and a transfer station is currently under construction on the border for any of these people, or other non-alligned vessels to pass through to access our space.The transition ends*
Following both statements, a message emminated from Breen space. The leader of the Bota'Rez state of the Breen Confederacy supports the Cimothian Star Empire`s embargo of the UFP. They went on to recognize the Empire as a Sovereign Nation, and standby offering any assistance that may be needed.

Finally, the Maquis have been rumoured to begun a military buildup along the Federation border. No statement has been made yet by Maquis officials, but Federation patrols have confirmed the buildup, in what some believe to be, a move to align themselves with the Cimothians.
