This picture shows the crew of WATERFORD in front of one of the tended
submarines. All work has been accomplished and the submarine is now ready to
rejoin the fleet. WATERFORD personnel were responsible for providing various
services to the submarine including; electrical power, potable water, seawater,
sewage connections, telephones and cable TV. WATERFORD was also responsible for
hydroblasting the hull to remove all sea growth and then paint the entire
underwater portion of the hull with anti-fouling paint. During the winter in
Connecticut, this was no easy task.
