Tug assisting with sub "at the sill"
Things always got a little crowded at sill time. You could have two tugs, two
"Mike" boats and the submarine at the sill (entrance to the dock) at the same
time. Kinda looked impressive from the main deck on the dock. The tugs and
"Mike" boats were a big help when the sub's stern was still out of the dock,
especially if there was a current in the river. They assisted by keeping the
stern centered with the dock until we could "warp" it into the dock basin.
