bassist Mat Cheslin born November 28,
1970
from Quarry Bank, near Stourbridge, England
Mat has not been involved in any projects, but has reportedly thinking about getting back into music on a recreational basis. he has finished a degree in english and thinking about a career in journalism.
Drummer Dan Warton born July 28, 1972
from Wordsley, near Stourbridge, England.
After the demise of ned's, Dan the fast drumming man supposedly joined
Floyd Brennan (filled in for rat on the bbv tour) as member of the band Floyd,
but nothing developed there. as of 2002 dan has taken up the bass (must be a
ned's thing... 4 bass players?) and now plays with a group called Bring
on the Freaks. check the
band's own page for gigs, hope to hear some recordings from them soon.
singer Jonn Penney born September 17th,
1968
from Quarry Bank, near Stourbridge, England.
Jonn formed Groundswell UK after
the demise of neds in 1995. Groundswell UK put out a single and one album for
Gig Records, which are both excellent.
Groundswell broke up in 2000.
Jonn is now studying communications at Wolverhampton University.
guitarist Garath "Rat" Pring
born November 8th, 1970
from Sedgley, near Stourbridge, England
After neds, Rat was part of
Groundswell with Jonn. Groundswell had been signed to GIG Records, but
just as news of the signing took place, it was announced that Rat would no longer
be playing with Groundswell. Rat did work on the songs "You Think"
and "Second Head."
He currently works for a travel company in the UK and writes songs
with his girlfriend who is a singer.
bassist Alex Griffin born August 29th,
1971
from Kingswinford, near Stourbridge, England.
Alex is still in the music business. He has formed a musical project
called Tickle. It is rumored to be some kind of techno dj project .
There was a rumor tickle was signed to GiG records, but as of yet there has
been no releases by tickle. alex now has a degree in music from Birmingham University.
He was teaching but has since left that job. He now lives in italy.
